What is Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive?
Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive is an “open database” to collect as many Welsh Springer Spaniel pedigrees and data as possible to give a good view of the breed, show developments in the breed, and help breeders to plan their litters and owners to discover the ancestors of their beloved pets. The database also serves as a place for breeders and owners to create a “web page” for their dogs free-of-charge.
Since this database consists entirely of information provided by end users, the providers of this website, Acclaimed Web Development & Online Marketing and Crystal Nolen assume no liability for the accuracy, meaning or completeness of any of the information entered in the database. Users of the Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive agree to use information in the database at their own risk.
It is recommended that everyone within the Welsh Springer Spaniel community use the database and regularly check their listings for accuracy. You are welcome to add information on dogs that are missing from the database, or to correct errors if you find them. The value of this database depends entirely on the quality of user input.

There's no kennel management provided by Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive. The kennel information is only stored as a simple value in a dog's record. On the dog's update page you can choose from the existing list of kennels (in the text field type the first letters and you will receive a list to choose from - be patient this may take a while depending on bandwidth and database size) or type in a new kennel name.
How do you add Sire and Dam to a dog?
Adding a new (not yet stored in Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive) sire or dam to a particular dog from the update screen is not possible; there you can only choose from existing sires and dams. Go to the details page of your dog instead and click onto the "Add Dog" links in the dog’s pedigree.
Also note, that for choosing an existing sire or dam you have to enter the first three letters of the sire's or dam's registered name whereupon you will receive all sires/dams in the database starting with these letters. Please be aware that retrieving these lists can take some time depending on bandwidth and database size.
How can I add or update a dog?
You have to create an account with Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive to be able to update or add a dog.
Go to the Login page and click
onto "Create an Account".
To continue adding a dog, see our Help page.
How do I enter my dog's registered name on their page?
Please enter the registered name of the dog you wish to add, WITHOUT TITLES (e.g. "Bridgewood's B. K. Kahuna"
or "Telstar's Good Time Charlie").
To continue adding a dog, see our Help page.
How do I enter my dog's titles on their page?
Enter all of the dog’s titles in the Titles field. We recommend putting a comma and a space between each title (e.g. Am
Champion, CD, CGC, JH). The titles will show up in red above the dog's name is pedigrees. DO NOT put the dog's titles in

Due to security reasons the deletion of a whole record (dog or person) is only allowed to

Welsh Springer Spaniel Pedigree Archive Administrator.

How to add sire or dam for a dog?
Adding the sire or dam to a dog is best done by using the pedigree's "Add
Dog"-links on the details page. If you know, that your dog's father
or mother is already available in the database you could also use the input
fields on the update-page. There you would have to enter the first three
letters of the sire's or dam's registered name and you will receive all
sires/dams in the database starting with these letters. Please be aware
that retrieving this list may last long depending on bandwidth and database
size. We therefore encourage you to use the "Add Dog"-links on
the pedigree of your particular dog.
